Fun Day Of Filmmaking Today

I had a blast re-uniting with Dan Kowalski and Greg Vorob on the FILMMAKER and HOMELESS REAL ESTATE shoots today. Actress Rachel Helper was also great to work with.

Dan hopes to have both of these projects together in the next couple of weeks.

Audition on Monday for the HBO series GIRLS

American Talent Management has just booked me an audition for Monday afternoon, for a role in the acclaimed HBO comedy series GIRLS.

Here's the character that I will be reading for:

[TODD] Lonely businessman. Oddly open and courteous considering he's looking for a night of sex. Likes: Hockey, PC's, His sweetie dog, Celine Dion's Vegas show (been three times, not ashamed). Dislikes: playing games, his friend Brian's new wife from Ecuador.

The sides for this character are very interesting. Definitely would be fun to play.

My audition is at 2:30pm on the afternoon of Monday, April 1st.

We'll see what happens.

Actress Rachel Halper and I will be meeting director Dan Kowalski at around 9:30AM in Hoboken on Saturday morning.

From there, he will transfer us to the shooting location where we will jump into both FILMMAKER and HOMELESS REAL ESTATE.

Always fun working with All Things Random.

Sketch Comedy Pilot Update

I received this earlier today from James Benson, regarding the sketch comedy pilot I worked on a few months back.

We're still very much in the editing process. We've been working on and off since we finished shooting. This week should be a big editing week hopefully! We'll let you know as soon as we have something finished.

Just received this from Mike Morgese regarding WE JUST WANT TO PLAY.

We will be shooting the final scene, an outdoor scene on April 6. We hope to have shooting wrapped by then and then begin post production and have the final project done within 2 weeks of that date.

Poster for SIMPLE MIND

Writer / director Phil Newsom designed the postr for SIMPLE MIND, which is below. I like it, although I did suggest that we add a line or two from the many great reviews the film has received.

I received the following the other day from writer / director of TROUBLE, Danny Witkin:

Everything is progressing quite well. I am very close to locking picture, and then it will just be a matter of doing foley, a very small amount of color correction, and meeting with a sound mixer. The thesis deadline is 4/12, but the film may be complete earlier that week. I'll let you know. All in all, it's been well received by the small selection of people I've shown it to, all of whom appeared to enjoy your performance quite a bit.

SWAN SONG - A Fantastic Day

I knew it was going to be a great day today when during their first run through of their lines, both Jeff Moffitt and Dan Berkey made me tear up a little. I knew that great work was going to follow and it did. It was a fantastic day, one that I shall treasure forever.

I don't consider myself a writer, so I wasn't quite prepared for how I'd react upon hearing words I'd written down on paper, said by actors. It was a strange feeling. Part of me, of course, wanted to get into the scene with them, while another part just sat back and enjoyed the process from a different perspective.

I'd like to thank Jeff, Dan (who were amazing at every moment throughout the day), as well as Rob LaSalle and Rafael Ortiz for their care and passion during todays' shooting.

Special thanks must also go to Preston House (still photographer), Marine (make up designer) and Ana Segura, who did everything from costumes to holding the boom mike.

Rob and Rafael hope to have this footage put together in the next 3 weeks, so stay tuned.

SWAN SONG Promotional Shoot Tomorrow

I'm heading to Brooklyn early tomorrow morning for the first day of SWAN SONG. We'll be shooting a key scene, featuring Jeff Moffitt and Dan Berkey as part of the marketing campaign to raise funds for the project. It should be a fun and exciting day.

Friday, March 08, 2013

I will be participating in a re-shoot / re-recording of sorts for the commercial I shot a few weeks back. That will take place tomorrow afternoon.

Tuesday, March 05, 2013

The contract is in the mail and while it doesn't start until March 10th, I'm too excited to not write about it.

This is the next step in my journey as an actor.

I hope it's the right one.

I'm pretty confident that it is.

Yesterdays’ shoot in CT was a real blast. I arrived at around 1PM and went right to work and worked pretty non-stop until I wrapped at around 8:15.

Thanks to Mike Morgese, Jimmy Cappadorro and the entire cast and crew for the chance to be a part of the project.

I'm less than an hour away from New Haven, CT, looking forward to today's film shoot.

Saturday, March 02, 2013

Sadly, it doesn't look like I'll be appearing in AN AMERICAN FAMILY, due to scheduling. A shame, as I would have liked to have worked with Sam Taffel.

Hopefully, we'll bump into each other again in the future.

American Talent Management - Contract

Yesterday afternoon, I received a contract from Herb Rothman of American Talent Management to look over and sign, if there is an interest on my part in signing exclusively with Herb.

Of course, I asked several of my family, colleagues and friends for advice, including actor, Phillip Chorba, who works with ATM and speaks very highly of them.

The contract itself is pretty year.

I have a couple of days to decide, but I am leaning in the direction of signing. As previously mentioned, I got a great vibe from Herb and if he can get me through the door, onto the next phase of my career, then I'd be crazy not too sign with him.

WE JUST WANT TO PLAY Shoot in CT Tomorrow

I'll be catching an 11am train to make my way out to New Haven, CT for tomorrows' shoot, which should be a lot of fun.

I will likely be out in CT for the day and early evening.

Looking forward to it.

Yesterdays' Meeting

My second meeting with Herb Rothman of American Talent Management went very well yesterday. I performed my two monologues for him and he said he was impressed.

''Where do we go from here?'', I asked.

Herb is going to send me a contract to look over and if there's an interest on my end, I'll sign and that will mean that I would work exclusively with American Talent Management.

I should be receiving the contract very soon.

Very exciting.
