Bad Audition

Had a bad audition today. Just didn't click with the material. It happens to all of us. I'm not down about it...I get to redeem myself tomorrow.

ARGYLE Has Been Completed

After 2 years, Matt Porter's film ARGYLE has been completed.

On the new Dial Tone Pictures website ( you get to see an isolated storyline from the film titled GUNDERSON'S, where I make my appearances as the animated Principal Cox.

Thanks to Matt for the chance to be a part of the project.

Upcoming Auditions

Tomorrow, I will be reading for the role of a scientist in a LG Jellybean Machine commercial.

On Friday, I have two auditions, one for a web series called KAYAK and for a spec commercial titled OUTRAGE, produced by Therefore Productions for music
recording studio: Little Cheddar Studios. It follows an 8-year old girl who after being denied a tasty, 'before dinner' dessert, retaliates against her parents through song. Having stated her case with the help of her super cool band, our heroine has her cake and eats it too!

GREG'S GUARDIAN ANGEL Is Back On For All Things Random Productions

I just heard from Greg Vorob of All Things Random and it looks like the GREG'S GUARDIAN ANGEL is back on. Greg is going to be sitting with Dan Conrad and director Dan Kowlaski this weekend to discuss the project, as well as MARTY AND DOUG'S NEW RELIGION, PART 2.

Stay tuned.

I have been out of the loop on KINGDOM COME for the last couple of weeks, but I am happy to report that it's still a go and that the web series is in the writing stage, as well as the casting stage.

Stay tuned for more updates in the coming weeks.

CHANGE OF PLANS Shoot A Success!

I had a great time working with director James Woll and writer/director of photography Anthony Moran at today's CHANGE OF PLANS shoot. We shot for the entire day, but it was pretty non stop with James and Anthony setting a solid pace throughout.

To me, the whole day was sort of like being at acting camp. There was a script, which we stuck to, more or less, but James allowed me and actor Chris Cheffo, who I had the bulk of my scenes with, to play around with the dialogue, as comfortable and as a real with the material as possible. It led to some great exchanges between Chris and I and while some of these exchanges may not end up in the final cut of the film, they were of tremendous help in crawling into the skin of the nebbishy Walter.

I look forward to seeing the final cut of the film and for another chance to work with this group of pros again.

Audition on Monday Night for LEFT BEHIND

This coming Monday evening, I will be auditioning for the role of an overprotective father in LEFT BEHIND, which follows the story of 2 young people as they struggle with life after someone close to them is being bullied at school and dies by suicide. They blame themselves for the girls' death and together, learn to cope with their grief and start looking forward to the future.

New Demo Reel Completed

Here is my new demo reel, nicely put together by director Sean Meehan, who graciously put this all together so quickly.

Thank you so much, Sean! I think it looks fantastic!

Tentatively Cast in THE GOOD MAN

Mike Sgroi, my co-star from THE WATCHERS has penned a script of his own, a drama titled THE GOOD MAN, which tells the story of Frank Nettles, a former thief who has been a free man for over a year until he finds out that his older brother, City Councilman James Nettles is killed by a rival city councilman named Warren Conrad. With his new life shattered, Frank looks for vengeance for his brother's death. Meanwhile, Frank’s old neighbor and family friend Det. Philip Martin, pleads with Frank not to go back down this road. After ignoring Det. Martin’s plead, Frank travels by train up to NYC to confront his brother’s killer. After exiting the train station, he sees someone from his past; his former love interest Alexis. Alexis tries to convince Frank not to seek revenge. Does she succeed, or will Frank avenge his brother’s death?

I just finished reading the script and it's pretty darn good. Mike has asked me to play Warren Conrad, which I have accepted.

Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.

Meeting With Director Sean Meehan Last Night

Last night, I met with director Sean Meehan (OVER COFFEE, THE BEACHCOMBER) to catch up and discuss new projects and my demo reel, which Sean has offered to create for me. Sean has a great idea, which I'm not going to spill the beans on right now, but I will say that it has the potential to be a fun and exciting project. As for the reel, it's going to include clips from both OVER COFFEE and THE BEACHCOMBER, as well as SOCKS AND CAKES, THE WATCHERS and the SPIKE TV spec commercial that I did with Dan Kowalski last year. Thanks to Sean for taking the time to create this for me.

The TILLMAN shoot was very relaxed and easygoing. It was a short scene, so I was in and out fairly quick. As always, it was a pleasure to work with director Antonio Padovan again.

Re-Uniting With SOCKS AND CAKES Director Antonio Padovan on TILLMAN

On Monday, I will re-uniting with my SOCKS AND CAKES director Antonio Padovan for another project, a short titled TILLMAN, written by Josh Batista, about Richard Tillman, a used-cars-dealership owner, who regrets the life (and the family) he's ended up with.

I will be appearing in a very brief scene as one of Tillman's customers. It's a small part, but the chance to work with Antonio Padovan was reason enough for me to say yes.

The shoot will take place Monday morning at a car lot in Jamaica, Queens.

CHANGE OF PLANS Shoot In Long Island on June 18th

The CHANGE OF PLANS film shoot is set for June 18th, in Huntington, Long Island.

In the film, I will be playing Walter, a middle aged business man, who has stolen a USB thumb drive from some very important people. When he sees what is actually on the drive, he gets extremely excited, and nervous, but decides to employ the help of his derelict nephew, Franklin, to help him leverage the extremely sensitive material for cash. Lots of other people try to get involved in the caper, but in the end, it comes down to who can you trust.

I'm excited about the project and for the chance to work with the AM Productions team, which includes James Woll, Shaun Barret and Anthony Moran

Wednesday, June 08, 2011

I have just been cast in a supporting role in the short CHANGE OF PLANS with AM Productions.

Shooting is set to take place on Long Island on June 18th.

Sadly, because of scheduling conflicts, I will be unable to participate in the Hudson Warehouse's revival of THE TAMING OF THE SHREW. A shame, yes, but not the end of the world. That play and the role of Gremio will come back into my life again some day.
