TERRY KENDALL AND THE STALKER (Now titled TERRY KENDALL AND ORANGE GREEN) has been completed and is available for viewing on Vimeo.

I think the film looks great...nicely directed by Meg Skaff.

Thanks to Meg for the chance to play against type as a creepy stalker.

KINGDOM COME - Test Footage

Here it is...the KINGDOM COME test footage that has been turned into a fantastic new promo for the project.

KINGDOM COME - OFFICIAL PROMO 2 from sy white on Vimeo.

O'Neil Monologue Performances

The presentation of the O'Neil monologues went very well this past Sunday. It's always great to perform the works of a true master playwright. I also had a chance to sit and speak with Gayle Stahlhuth of the East Lynne Theatre Company. We chatted about theatre, film. etc. It didn't work for me as far as this season at East Lynne, but I hope to have a chance to work there in the future.

Smooth Re-Shoot of INTERNET ACCESS

Last evenings' re-shoot of INTERNET ACCESS went pretty smoothly, even though we had to tweak the script a little and change the location to school, rather than an office, as usually intended. The changes work and director Marvin Suarez seemed pleased with the footage he gathered. Expect the title of the film to be changed.

The final version of the short will go live on the net on June 1st.

INTERNET ACCESS Re-Shoot Tomorrow Night

The re-shoot for INTERNET ACCESS is all set for tomorrow night.

Sunday, May 08, 2011

This morning, I traveled out to New Jersey with Jeff Moffitt, Sy Cody White, Rich Sab, Jason Lee Hess and Eugene Lin for the KINGDOM COME test shoot.

We accomplished quite a bit in the time we were on location, specifically a very cool scene with Jeff, Rich and I, which will hopefully be available for viewing soon.

Eugene was very helpful with sound and Jason assisted Sy with some very helpful direction.

Jason and I had worked together on the dreaded (or dreadful) film TRAINS, from last year, which I have now finally seen. The film, now re-titled CAROUSEL, was a bit of a choppy mess. The highlight of the film for me came when the credits started to roll. I was unaware of this, but apparently my name is not Timothy J. Cox (my parents will be shocked), but Ryan Patrick O'Neil. Now, this is a great Irish name, but you can imagine my surprise when I saw that name listed in the film. The name of the character I played was Patrick, so perhaps the director got a little confused.

I have no idea...I found it all very amusing.

Here's a plug for a project that is being produced by friend and colleague Synge Maher, NORTHPOINT: VOICES FROM A KENTUCKY PRISON, a one-night benefit reading of six short plays by prisoners from Northpoint, a medium security prison in Kentucky -- on Monday, May 23rd in NYC.

All net proceeds from the reading will benefit this year's program and seed a residency at the prison for a New York-based playwright (the name of which will be announced very soon!).

Here's a message from Synge about the project:

''I'm thrilled about this opportunity to affect change in a community that is so often overlooked and neglected as well as reconsider a largely unheard from population. Working with this program last year was life changing for me and hope that you will take part. As one prisoner-playwright wrote, To be acknowledged as a human being, to be treated with respect and dignity, to be able to have my comments and opinions taken seriously in spite of all my warts and scars, is a new experience for me. It gives me hope.''

Monday, May 23rd
Baruch Performing Arts Center (25th between Lexington Ave. & 3rd Ave.)

7:00 pm followed by a reception

The program was created by Robby Henson, Curt Tofteland (Shakespeare Behind Bars), Holly Henson and playwright Elizabeth Orndorf.

KINGDOM COME - Test Footage

Tomorrow, I will be meeting with the bulk of the KINGDOM COME team tomorrow to shoot some new test footage. It should be a lot of fun, as I will get to see the locations where the film is going to be shot, plus the hope is that some scenes can and will be developed through improvisation on site.

NYC Landlord Shoot Last Night

Michael Grisafe and I jumped into the NYC LANDLORD shoot last night and managed to finish all principal photography and a couple of voice overs in a little over four hours.

It was a fun shoot. Hopefully pics from the shoot will be available for posting soon.

Also, Mike is going to start editing the project right away, so expect the final version to be posted soon.

The INTERNET ACCESS re-shoot is still set for Tuesday, May 10th, but we lost our location, so director Marvin Suarez is scrambling to find a new spot to shoot the scenes.

Last evenings' reading of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY was a lot of fun. I had a blast reading Uncle Charlie and look forward to playing him for real in about 15 years...or more.

May 22nd - O'Neil Monologue Performance

On May 22nd, I will be returning to Liz Hodes' Black Box Theatre to perform a couple of monologues from LONG DAY'S JOURNEY INTO NIGHT and THE ICEMAN COMETH. Liz and Chris Kateff will also be performing a few scenes from Williams' THE GLASS MENAGERIE, so it will be a presentation honoring two great playwrights.

I've been a lot more writing, screenwriting specifically, lately...especially with KINGDOM COME on the brain. I've been writing a little bit every day over the last couple of weeks and it's been a lot of fun. It's been nice to just sit at my laptop, with some music on and just type away. Sure, most of my not be used, but this is still a new process for me, even though I wrote AMERICAN MAYO last year...I feel more confident and knowledgeable now with the process of writing for this medium. I'm no Paddy Chayefsky, but for now, I'm just having fun.

NYC Landlord Shoot This Weekend

Michael Grisafe, my roommate and the director of BUT IT'S VALENTINE'S DAY, and I are about to collaborate on our next project, NYC LANDLORD, which tells the exploits of Joe Klitangus, a one of a kind New York City landlord. He's a character that's near and dear to me, so I look forward to sharing the project with all of you upon completion. This will be the first of many Klitangus appearances.

Shooting to take place this weekend.

TIMOTHY LEARY'S DREAM was actually scheduled to be shot last week, but it never came together and needless to say, communications between the director and I have been with a busy month of May ahead, I have bowed out of the film.

AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY Reading Tomorrow Night

Tomorrow night, I'll be heading to the Producers Club on 44th for the reading of AUGUST: OSAGE COUNTY. It should be a very informal reading...a chance to people to hear a great play and for us actors to say fantastic dialogue.

I heard from director Meg Skaff regarding the status of TERRY KENDALL AND THE STALKER. Meg is in the process of finishing up the film, but she is leaving for France this Sunday for two weeks, so she won't be able to mail DVD copies of the film untill later in May.

In the meantime, here is a scene from the final moments of the film, where my character of The Stalker is featured. Check it out here:

East Coast Film Collaborative Meeting

Yesterdays' meeting with members of the East Coast Film Collaborative was okay. I'm a little on the fence, to be perfectly honest, about what they do and what they want to do. I did have the chance to meet Dorothy Palmer of Dorothy Palmer Talent, so it wasn't a waste of a day by any stretch. I also met a number of actors and writers, in addition to seeing colleagues Jeff Moffitt, Darrin Biss, Mike Sgroi and Peter Francis Span. Mike and Darrin are writing a project together, which sounds great. I hope to be involved with it when the script is finished.

East Coast Film Collaborative Meeting Today

Today, I will be attending my first East Coast Film Collaborative meeting, which will be held at a restaurant in Manhattan, hosted by my WATCHERS co-star Peter Francis Span. I'm not sure what is going to be discussed, but I do know that another WATCHERS co-star Mike Sgroi has a role that he wishes to discuss with me in a script that he is working on, so it's nice to have that walking in the door. Jeff Moffitt and Dave Weber will also be in attendance at today's meeting.

We'll see what happens.
